I don't think there's a review of this film I've agreed with more. I can't stand when people refer to it as their favourite movie or a great comic book adaptation. Worse yet, they put it up there with The Dark Knight or Batman Begins. For me, it was just okay: par for the course summer entertainment. No shame in that whatsoever.

I don't think there is an American movie this man does like, unless it's a movie that holds a mirror up to the establishment, that being the government or conventional views of society.
A movie has got to be sardonic, witty, dark or twisted in some way to pass Marks test of approval. With that said, I agree with his review on the Iron Man.

This film had the IDENTICAL ending to Avatar: Apparently stronger enemy is defeated against the odds by generic good guy, generic good guy appears to have died! Soppy crying nonsense before good guy is inexplicably revived, man and woman piss off together bla bla bla... in fact almost every film like this ends in EXACTLY the same way, but people lap it up!! Mental...
