EDIT: I HAVE NOW FOUND A FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM AND HAVE UPLOADED A VIDEO DETAILING HOW TO FIX IT. FOLLOW THIS LINK;

I made this video as the problem I am experiencing is quite difficult to describe....
I have explained the issue in the video but just to clarify;
Shown is the Rock Pedal with the beater attachment and practice pad.
When first setting it all up, all was fine. I really liked the feel of it; it felt like hitting a real base drum.

However, after a while I began to notice that, with the pedal set so low, my foot tired about twice as quickly. I also noticed that with it being so loose, those quick double hits (as seen in: Constant Motion, Tom Sawyer, Metallica pack etc.) were very difficult to hit, in its current state the pedal was very inaccurate.

So i decided to raise the pedal up a bit and found that doing so instantly remedied my problems, the pedal was firmer meaning i did not tire out as quickly and i felt as though i had more control, however, this brought up another rather sizable issue.....the pedal would not register any hits!!

This was due to the pedal now being out of reach of the sensor.
