http://www.TheGuideForYou.com/shoulder-tendonitis -- Understanding Shoulder Tendonitis and Shoulder Pain Treatments

The shoulder complex is the foundation of all upper extremity movements, shoulder joint mechanics and stability are dependent on the muscle surrounding the joint.

An acute injury or chronic misuse can cause inflamation of the tendons in the shoulder joint.Shoulder tendonitis is usually caused by the pinching of the nerve in the shoulder or from repetitive strain on the shoulder joint.

Combination of mechanical stresses degenerates and causes ischemic changes in the tendon with possible subsequent calcification causing it to be prone to local inflamation

Shoulder tendonitis is the inflammation, irritation and swelling of the tendons in the rotator cuff and bicep.

This particular type of tendonitis is common amongst sports and activities that require the hand to be moved above the head.

Early signs of shoulder tendonitis include a slight pain in the shoulder/upper bicep area when you move your arm up and down.

The key to treating your shoulder tendonitis is rest. Stop the activity that caused the pain,Apply anti-inflammatory medication to the area, use support or brace the, stretching or exercise.
