My training log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=118490371

3 months after this footage was taken, I hit a 402 bench in competition and qualified to compete at Raw Unity Meet 2010. The surgery from which I'm recovering in this video was removal of bone spurs from my elbow.

  • I fractured and dislocated my elbow 10 months ago and had surgery. Now, I have pretty much full range on flexion, but can't extend my arm more than 15-30 degrees of lockout, and my pronation and supination suck- I can only turn my hand palm up or palm down about 30-45 degrees from a neutral handshake position, no matter how much I work it. How is your supination and pronation?

  • @thepsychopimp Extension/supination/pronation were all about 95% of my other arm after the surgery and PT, but they've gotten a lot worse since then, as the bone spurs have grown back. :(

  • What song is this? It sounds a lot like Racer X but I'm not sure.

  • @accushot9999 It's Buckethead. First song off the Bucketheadland album.

  • This is very inspiring. Im 24 years of age. I love the gym and i got up to 15 stone and i was benching 140kg unitl i fracured my elbow in june 2010. I shattered my elbow but then it also grew new bone in the wrong places stopping my arm extending it and touching my shoulder. I have my operation in january 2011. I do go the gym still but its so hard. How did operation go for you? Did you ever get back what you was lifting? Good video

  • @ste867 Went pretty well, all things considering. I just benched 429 (195 kg) in the gym the other day. Keep your head up! Your arm will never be as good as new, but that doesn't mean you still can't do great things with what you've got.

  • I'm going to assume you're an extroverted female fan. Please don't tell me if I'm wrong.

  • Well shit, I wasn't making excuses before but now I don't think I ever can. Thanks guy.

  • This dude will be under the knife again real soon lol... go light dumb ass

  • @Blenderate I feel you. I wake up in the morning and my hand is frozen in a Karate chop position. I can't receive change with that hand, and I can no longer deadlift, my pet exercise. I can only lift with my hand in a neutral position. And then there is the chronic pain...

  • Hey man im 15. Fractured my elbow in many pieces, got plates all over it. cant straighten (surgery was in july) but im working it man thanks for the inspiration.

  • @Blenderate Very well said, I suffered from a TFCC tear on my wrist, very disabling injury for weight and power training, but with patience and slow training, you will still be able to push your body and excel in other forms of physical prowess, my wrist is never 100% as good as before, but over all actually never felt as good as I have right now. It was depressing at first though, I must admit.

  • @Blenderate Cheers mate. I wish you all the luck for your powerlifting plans.
