This was shown on Channel 4 as part of a series of comedy pilots. Something like "Packet of 3" I think, and this was absolutely brilliant at the time. May seem more weird than funny now. Must get round to watching Catterick some time and seeing how it compares!

Very weird. I love Vic and Bob but it is easy to see why it wasn't commissioned. Too zany in a fraught way and Vic gets quite annoying when he is acting in that way the whole time. Catterick is hundreds of times more refined and not reliant on Vic acting like hyper idiot who over plays every line.

Ta for this I also laughed my ass of with this came out, I agre they should have commissioned it. Can anyone confirm this, I am I right in saying this one one of 6 contenders in a series channel 4 did once to pick the best one for commission into a series, and was the winning entry Man Behaving Badly?

I watched two of the other five and nothing resembling Men Behaving Badly was among them. Wikipedia lists it as starting the following year on ITV.
