You should believe it, Jake! I wasn't exaggeratng in the least. You belong in that company!
Great playing! Thanks for sharing this. I was just thinking about this tune the other day as one of my favorite recordings was the duo by Jim Hall and Bob Brookmeyer (who sadly left us a couple days ago). I see you're doing some mods to that Ibanez. What's going on with the tailpiece?

Rick, it's a pleasure hearing from you, thanks for the kind words! I have a Fishman archtop piezzo in the bridge and I use just a bit of the signal to blend in with the regular neck PU. It adds some acoustic sparkle which I think helps add definition to the notes. This requires two cables and channels for recording as well as live gigs. I had this system going for 20 years and I have transferred the Fishman from guitar to guitar as they disintegrated... Happy New Year!

This is a gem, one of many you have tossed our way. Jake, I want to thank you for this, and thank you for the lesson and the opportunity to meet you, a high point for me this year, no question. Happy holidays to you and your family, and I wish you continued success. Listening to you makes up for all the insanity and crap on the internet. Great job!

Oh, Lordy, Jake, I'm always entranced by your playing. Your body language suggests that you're barely even trying, but I don't know of too many other guitar players in this world who command that instrument the way you do. Just wondering if anyone like a John McLaughlin or a Steve Howe or an Allan Holdsworth or anyone else of that caliber have seen and heard you.
