@scottduncan44 wrong, it was the IS-3 that was the most advanced fighting vehicle of WW2, too bad it only saw action against the Japanese, it would have teached Panther a lesson the same way IS-2 did with Tiger

@Schriftsteller1974 Both the T-34 and Sherman were war winners. They were both produced on mass, both were reliable, decently armored, very mobile and well armed. The Panther was the most technicaly superior vehicle but over engeenered for a machine with a service life measured in days, weeks or months at the most. An improved and simplified Mk 4 would have been of much more value to the Germans.The MK 4, Stug 3, Marder and Hetzer were the backbone of German armored forcesup to wars end.
