Except that that the Vietcong was backed by the Soviet Union much more so then the Chicoms. The Khmere Rouge regime in Cambodia was however backed by the Red Chinese. As for an International Chinese Conspiracy I would submit that there still is one, but not one of spreading Maoist Communism but of colonizing parts of Africa and other undeveloped regions by state owned Chinese companies in order to lock up natural resources. This is one of my favorite Monty Python cartoons by the way.
