  • hey dude..great choice of seating man!! almost the best view for seeing i guess...i'm planning to go to sepang this time, can u tell me what prices did u pay for ur tickets and also could u see the other side of the v straight from ur position?...i mean the start finish straight.. can u book it whereever u want particularly or is it just random allotment? or whoever gets to the stands first?

  • It's random allotment i guess..can book tickets anywhere. We decided to book hillstand at counter at k.l. sentral. I'm student and got 50% discount on hillstand and citrine (lower tier). We were afraid we couldn't see much of the track from there (ask NikkenMagboy). Waiting in line to purchase our tickets, a protocol manager from the king(=P) offered us his free tickets for upper tier (that time 700-100RM). We paid 200 and got a free ride to Sepang (no Limmo damnit..just a proton wira).

  • You cannot see the start finish straight (check the map in next post). You have to show a valid ticket to get there. Only after the race when the racers get to the victory stand you are allowed to go there.

It's hard to follow the race. Get a headphone..can buy it there.

  • -Cannot bring water or anything inside..they check your bag. Make sure you finish it before you enter. Maybe can try one bottle..but don't take more..it's a waste if they discover..and prob they will.

-Prices seem so vary a bit and might get more expensive

-If you go for hillstand you're far from any food etc. and might get sunburn. Don't worry it's sold out..if you take this one or citrine, buy at sentral, maybe get lucky with someone who is selling his free tickets =)

  • yeah..and one more thing...i'm a student too..do i get a discount on my ticket if i show them a valid id?

  • I only went for the race. I lived in K.L. that time. I know hotels (and also hostels I think) charge extra during those days. I didn't buy at the counter so..dunno how they check if you're a student. I would have shown them my workingpermit that time. I think you don't need to rush for good seats....there were plenty left and I think you have your own seatnumber. Hillstand you can sit whereever you want. Did you get my links? I posted it at your profile. ¿What about a Kangaroo???

  • nope..i have not received any of your links!! please try resending them....also the kangaroo is with reference to that kangaroo tv device that they say is available at the f1 ckts to view f1 airing from diff channels or even for viewing onboard shots on your own!

  • thanks a lot bro..but...i am asking various travel guides to see how the pricing will work out..i'm an indian and so i guess i'll need a visa to get here..all the agents seem to be struggling to give me info on what to expect once i get there!..did u go there for all the 3 days or did u go anywhere out in between? also...when should i leave for the ckt from my hotel to get a good seat? (assume i stay somewhere avg far from the track)..also is that kangaroo worth the money?

  • thts a good view.

  • I was in Citrine (the granstand below you) and located near the tower hairpin. I got a nice picture of the 3 cars going abreast at full speed towards the hairpin. You can see them starting their run at 0:46. F1 was an awesome experience.
