I have to replace sections of the frame and steer boxes in old lifted blazers all the time its the fatal flaw

been watchin all your videos for a little while now. saw this one and had a flashback to my old 85 K20 plow truck. finished a parking lot and was on my way to a customers driveway, took a slight right out of the lot then went to take a left and nothing happened... ripped the box right off the frame and when i turned the wheel to the left all it would do was move the box away from the frame.. going right would kind of work because it would smack against the frame then somewhat turn the wheels.

When i read the title I started thinking you got really mad at a guy chained the wrecker to his power steering box and tore it out then left.... xD good vid

filming inside a truck or w/e suckballzzzzz

@84400 Yup, is why you add a steering box brace support system to avoid it breaking off like that. This is well worth the money with a lift on any of these older Chevy trucks. The stress of the lift pulls on the frame and box and rips out. I do not have a lift on my 84 M1009 Military K5 Blazer, but still added this brace as I do some off road driving.

@recoveryteam lol , I thought you would have kept it where it would run on pump gas , but we are known to be crazy sometimes , so it could have been possible lol

@4x4JOEs Jeez . He couldn't fake just running out of gas ? lol

@recoveryteam I also have the 64 cc heads , valve relief flat tops , and a stroker crank , pushing about 11.25:1 compression ratio , thats a lot less duration than I have ever tried in that truck , and less lift too , that in it's own right might be my issue lol
why don't ya tell me what cam you put in the wrecker , you seem happy with it , well it seems it has great low end torque , I have never came up with a good grind in my wrecker ...

@towrecker It's a Comp Cam 12-205-2 with a .431 lift and a 252 duration. but that's only part of the combo the other is the 64cc heads with the flat top pistons creating a 12 to one compression ratio.

@towrecker I'm sorry, bad memory 10.5 to one compression not 12 to one.
