Several people have asked to see the winder actually unwinding. Here it is.

My one worry is that I might set off the coil when trying to unwind the cable off, requiring me to recoil it by hand. How likely is that? And how easy would it be to rewind it?

That doesn't happen as there is a small trigger/button on the inside of the hook which the cable presses. If there is no cable to press it, then there is no way that it will coil. It's a great product! :)

This doesn't happen. There's a small trigger on the inside of the hook, and if that's not depressed by the cable itself, then the coil stops winding - it works very well.

No you cannot wind it up half-way, it's all or nothing.

I too want to know how to wind it if I accidentally trigger it. I have an idea on how it COULD be done.

Think my question is the same -- if the winder is triggered without a cable hooked into it, is there an easy way to reset the spring?
