@TheStreetcred Yeah I remember watching that on TV and I thought she sounded great. I was blown away then. Even if it was lip-synched this one, I can still appreciate it.

....But this is one for Superbowl XLII was definitely lip-synched. The sound is obviously not organic, and her vibrato is way too unnatural in this performance. But like Chris said, this is nothing new for artists, especially on big, nation/worldwide events like this.

@Chris201076 it pains to admit this, but I agree; that was lip-synched. the voice wasn't organic at all. but hey, no shame coz Mariah and them have lip-synched the star-spangled banner in the past. Still a good performance.

Yea...you can tell. Do you not think so? Lots of singers lipsynch star spangled banner. Probably because it's so hard to sing and theres so much pressure to get it perfect.
