Visit http://bit.ly/bwWZ9w for more information about the NI USB-6211.
This VI uses closed loop control to maintain the position of a light deflector. The position of the deflector is read by a Hall-effect sensor connected to one of the analog inputs and the speed of the fan is controlled by the voltage result of a PID algorithm connected to one of the analog output voltage channels. This video demonstrates PID control with the NI USB-6211.
All you need is on Analog Input and one Analog Output so the USB 6009 should do the job as well.

The PID VI was built probably using the PID Toolkit . The hardware is unfortunately not available for purchase from NI.

@srsnerdshack I would like to ask the same question. Thank you.

Can you achieve exactly the same application of PID control using NI USB 6009 ?

Excellent video
How does one get your hardware setup.
i would love to try to play around with this circuit
Thanks
