Visit http://bit.ly/bwWZ9w for more information about the NI USB-6211.

This VI uses closed loop control to maintain the position of a light deflector. The position of the deflector is read by a Hall-effect sensor connected to one of the analog inputs and the speed of the fan is controlled by the voltage result of a PID algorithm connected to one of the analog output voltage channels. This video demonstrates PID control with the NI USB-6211.

  • All you need is on Analog Input and one Analog Output so the USB 6009 should do the job as well.

  • The PID VI was built probably using the PID Toolkit . The hardware is unfortunately not available for purchase from NI.

  • @srsnerdshack I would like to ask the same question. Thank you.

  • Can you achieve exactly the same application of PID control using NI USB 6009 ?

  • Excellent video

How does one get your hardware setup.

i would love to try to play around with this circuit

    Thanks

  • hi! Thanks a lot! this is a very helpful example.. I was wondering how to make the pid vi that you use in this vi though.. can you please help me out?
