Kiddieland Commercials

Here are four TV commercials for Kiddieland amusement park in Melrose Park, Illinois. The first dates from the summer of 1990 (although the reference to "60 years of family fun" suggests it may have been produced in 1989). Following that are two variations of a 1993 commercial, each promoting in-person appearances of different cartoon characters -- first Homer and Bart Simpson and then Mr. Bogus and Widget (two shows then running on WGBO-TV in Chicago). Rounding things off is a short WGBO-TV "Kid's Zone" bumper including some Kiddieland footage from the same commercial. Blink and you'll miss quick shots of the Log Jammer, Polyp, Tilt-A-Whirl, Galleon, Little Dipper and more.

What was the amusement park that had the event where you rode out on a lake and you put out a burning buillding or burning boat or something. I remember that clearly because my Mother would neve let me go she was sure I would just spray myself since I liked water so much.....lol
