Killing saves lives???? I don't get it Howardsternn. Wow we certainly live in a egocentric world when people can so ignorantly try to justify that human life has no importance. We were all embryos once. We were all protected inside our mothers womb at some point. Just because we don't see them or hear them doesn't mean they have no worth. Humanity? What a scary thought?

@ailingequation I've been to a boys orphanage. Those children are not unwanted. They have a God Who loves them unconditionally, and even those children can soar in this world if given the chance. The problem is not pro-life. The problem is people who are too rich but too selfish to look at those in need. But enough pointing the finger about what the problem is. The point it it's still wrong. All of it, including abortion.

But we do get some truths from emotive thinking. Some truths are axiological and you cannot "prove" them like you can prove the photosynthetic process. Murder is wrong is one example, it is self-evident, just like abortion is murder. There are emotional people on both sides, but the truth that it is wrong to murder can be defended on rational grounds too.

yes morals are objective, and murder is wrong. But a zygote is not a "glorified amoeba." Judging from your "logic" your intellectual inadequacy makes you more like an amoeba, or really more like as mouth-breathing slug.

Also, "hearingeveryrhyme," we don't know if an unborn child "longs for the future" but even if not, they should still be protected. Human beings have inherent worth, it is not based on some ability to play the violin or some level of consciousness which may be developing all the way into adulthood. Only Nazis think it's okay to kill innocent human beings.
