Priceless footage of Danny Gatton tribute concert. Arlen Roth and his late daughter, Gillian, performing Suzie Q mixed with Day Tripper. Gillie had just turned 12. Arlen lost Gillian and her mother in a car accident in 1998, when Gillian was just 14.

  • Gillian was unquestionably one of the most incredible people I have ever known. She was one of my best friends, and her spirit and brilliance has influenced my life and the lives of her many friends and peers profoundly. Anyone who knew Gillian was privileged, and my life has certainly been enriched by having known her and her wonderful family.

  • i vividly remember calling to order a video and the person answering said " could you please call later"...

i learned of the accident later on and i called back two months later.

i have a 14 year old daughter and could only imagine his pain.

anyway, that is a great video, and Arlen should be proud...

i like his music very much and he seems to be a good man.

  • what a great young talent playing the guitar and she looked like she was having a good time too. so sad to hear about the car accident that took her from the world.

  • I really like the way she played this, it sounds great.

  • As a family member...the loss was absolutely devastating. I truly wish I was able to spend more time with her during the summer when we visited our Parents/Grandparents in White Lake, NY. I remember playing games with her. Her last birthday party was (to say the least) something I will treasure, She was a very sweet and a remarkable young lady.

  • Arlen, I can only imagine the joy and pride you felt playing with Gillian. So happy for you both, to have that memory

  • How sad , I don't Arlen or Gillian personally, but it saddens me to see a 12 year old girl playing guitar that would die 2 years later....it almost brings a tear to my eye

    RIP

  • "There is sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief and unspeakable love,"

    ~Washington Irving~

Some good advice for all. I am sure Arlen did.

"Hold your loved ones close, tell them you love them, for if tomorrow never comes, you'll have no regrets about today!"

Arlen, God bless you, your family and your daughter. You are an inspiration to me in more ways than one
