Here it is! Originally aired Sunday May 26, 1991. One of the most expensive tv movies ever made. It was also a pilot for a tv series that ABC didn't pick up.

It concerns a town that was destroyed by toxins so they move to the moon to starting a mining colony there.

Features appearances by Astronaut Charles Conrad, the third man to walk on the moon.

Written and directed by Lee David Zolotoff (MacGyver, The Spitfire Grill)

  • Great show...thanks for posting. The movie seems a bit choppy about the time the sun flare hits....is there a part of the show missing?

  • There is a small bit I missed. I plan to get to adding it sometime, though I don't know when.

  • I was the lead set designer who drew all these sets/etc. It was a beautiful experience and I am very proud of this film. We covered TWO adjoining stages for our main set (huge!).

  • I watch this on Youtube whenever Network and Cable/Satellite Broadcast TV is either boring or reruns. It takes me back to the days the Networks could come up with something interesting. I hope tooteaching uploads the missing segment soon! I love this made for TV movie!

  • I havn't seen this since it was on tv in 91 when I was 11!

  • Thank you so much for posting this! Possibly the most realistic project about spaceflight/colonization to be aired on television.

I would jump up and down in the store aisles if I ever found this on DVD!

  • The opening episode should of been 90% character development on Earth. The audience does not care about any challenges or danger the cast face until they get to know 'em.

  • This was a good idea, and I'm sorry it didn't take off. Of course, there are some problems.

OK, let me get this straight: they agreed to no births, but didn't get sterilized or use multiple forms of birth control? Did everybody just assume that an entire TOWN full of people would abstain from sex for five or ten years?

  • I saw this when it aired was blown away, They need shows like this and maybe we could get "the powers that be" to start getting us to the moon and mars. wish they would release this on dvd.

  • It starts off a little gloomy, but I wished they had picked it up.
