@BigAl21472 play like that with the amount of dedication, intensity, and feel and then you can call yourself the blues man that he is getting at
-
who care who did it originally? are you nuts, robert johnson is the start of it all and the reason mayer can even play the blue, dont get me wrong, i love john and all his music, but have some respect for where it came from.

@Claptonmaniac24 So what, John makes it the best song ever; who cares who sang the words originally.
-
@BigAl21472 The original is from Robert Johnson, not Clapton
-
@PatClapp sounds like F#m to G, but if you want to be accurate with the original clapton tune you'd play D/F# to G.
-
he's trying sooo hard to be a "blues man". funny, he's a decent guitarist but he'll go down in history as a cheeseball crooner who wrote somewhat sophisticated bubble gum pop.
-
@GiovanniMusco Next level LOL
-
i love how at 3:56 he changes the tone of how he plays from lead to rhythm when he starts to sing... thats next level
-
Who Did You Think I Was is the first song, but it's based off of the Crossroads progression, and those two chords are in both songs. It is F#m (2x422x) and a variant of G (3x5433)...

to be able to play like that and sing at the same time is ridiculous
He plays the shit out of his guitar in this video!
