EXIRE - the making of the album "House of war"

Exire was founded in may 2010. In September all members, except for the lead singer, was picked for the band. One of them, Joachim Gröhn, a former drummer in various bands listened to the songs of Exire and joined the band right away. André Pieber on guitars, who in the early 90´s had played in the same band as Lars Wilbe (founder, guitarist and songwriter), became the fourth member. But still Exire was lacking a lead singer. In October 2010 the band had auditioned a couple of great singers but not anyone that had the voice that they wanted. As a coincidence they met Niels Boerma, bass player in the band Abomation. He heard the music of Exire in Andre´s car and got interested. After a test recording everything was in place. Niels aggressive and dark, yet melodic voice fitted perfectly in the mix. Exire released their first album "House of war" in May 2011 - recorded in WilbeStudio.
