I just don't understand why non Haitians think we all look alike. We all come in different shapes, sizes, colors and HAIR types...

i've seen sooo many gorgeous haitians(myself included and u lol). but every nationality has mud ducks, lol. not everyone can be beautiful. ppl are surprised cuz i have long hair and apparently haitians aren't supposed to have long hair either lol

I hear the same thing. It's because of the media's negative perception of Haitians. All foreigners can think of is Feed The Children. Makes no sense. I have seen every shade and color of my people, and we are beautiful.

I totally agree with u.

Haitians are really beautiful, and, well dressed, where i live.

We come in all shades of brown really dark or really light.

We have a variety of hair textures, and eye colors from green to dark brown.

And I'm proud to be Haitian-American! All Haitians should be proud of who they are.

my mom is puerto rican and cuban,white and haitian. But she has brown and greyish eyes and she's dark skin. Her sister is red bone, long hair. I came out dark sexy caramel choclate. But we always get pointed out cause of the hair or the eyes... "your eyes, and hair are very nice for a black person". I promise I knocked her out I got oh you look Cuban you don't look Haitian. ive met some haitians here in miami that are light, or white with blue green eyes, or mixed with asian or middle eastern. i even met some of those while visiting in santiago dominican republic. they were very wealty nd educated high class type of people. but when i went to places like cap-haitian or jacmel, haiti. they were exterely small in numbers. all you see in the streets are dark skin kinky haires people with strong african facial features & are angered. which has its own unique beauty.
