Laparoscopic Inguinal Hernia Repair repairs a patient's groin hernia. Traditionally, such a hernia was repaired with an incision above the groin. Now, with laparoscopic technology, this hernia is repaired using three small incisions - resulting in a quicker recovery, as well as a faster return to work and normal activity. This video reviews such a procedure performed by Mark Liberman, M.D. For more information, visit www.libermanadvancedsurgical.com.
I had a massive right side hernia, I'm talking small football size one and I just had it repaired this same way and now it looks like I have a hernia again and it's only been a few weeks, the only thing I have been doing that would be strenuous is walking up and down the stairs. I don't know if i have one again, I'm hoping it's because the skin was so stretched from the hernia and it's swelling but I won't know until I see my Dr. in a few weeks. Have you ever seen or heard of anything like this

I had a communicating hydrocele that diminished years ago. My surgeon said it was probably due to my active military operations that made it worse. I am glad I had it taken care of privately vs. VA, YIKES! lol
The surgeon explained the risk of losing a testicle, but explained its incredibly rare in surgeons who practice laparascopic hernia repair more than others. My surgeon was previously an ER trauma surgeon, I know people who know him so I felt comfortable.

Great footage! I am on week 2 of recovery and I can attest to a quick recovery to average light day to day activities. Although I do feel some pain still from the scar tissue healing and a where the mesh is attached on either side. Mine was bilateral inguinal hernia repair.
