hummers were not made for desert storm the hummer was first made in 84 or 85 long before desert storm it was designed and made to replace the tiny jeep that was only good for moving a couple of people around the hummer has alot of different uses gun trucks radar trucks ambulances and many other things so get your facts straight before you talk about stuff

I used to drive one in the sports club... but it was because we would drag immensily heavy ropes through a field.... over a long distance.
...So this truck has lots of practical potential... but you never see anybody drive this truck in a city.
And I wouldn't be bitching aboout utility vehicles so much if it wasn't for the fact that so many people just buy them because they think that they are cheap and cool, instead of really using them in a meaningfull way.

See... I don't critisize the arab armees or the other desert people for driving around in reliable vehicles.
I critisize the fact, that even here in europe where we don't even know that kind of environment people drive cars that are double as heavy, double as big as necessary for their purpose.
See... in germany our army makes the Unimog vehicle.
It's actually much bigger than any hummer, but it's for military transport, ...however they sell old models to civilians.

h-2s suck, they took the best parts out of a h1 and replaced them w a suburban, and stuck an ugly ass body over it. i wonder why gm is going tits-up?
