@hpimola there is a false sense of less danger with the quad and many will find the quad more fun out of the gate do to it ease of getting to the level of doing the fun stuff like jumps and skidding threw the corners but it takes allot more time and training on a motocross bike to start doing descent jumps and railing the berms at with time you are no longer beating self up and getting so tired after just 2 laps

the ease to ride in turn make the quads allot more dangers for new riders or kids

@hpimola you have to understand that i am not talking about the skill of winning races

that is a step beyond just having the ability to go fast

you take 2 knobs out to the track the same age and the same skill's and you place 1 on a bike and one on a quad and the quad rider will be doing jumps and drifting threw the berms day one but it will take the motocross rider allot more time to reach the same speed and jumping skill level but in turn the quad rider will ride over his head and get hurt

i guess you mean great not "grate" utility vehicles. although your son or daughter may go faster out of the gate with four wheels than two, it does not make mastering any four wheel vehicle any easier. From you statement one could extrapolate that an F1 driver is less skilled than a moto GP rider...

@hpimola ok let me say this tho and i say it hoping that a father or mother may take it in to consideration

i found with my son that if i stick him on a quad or go cart or any thing with 4 wheels that from day one he is trying to go fast and jump every thing in site but when i put hem on a dirt bike he had to take the time to learn how to ride it and for a long time he was afraid of it and you can also watch my vids of my 5 year old learn on her pw it took time but the quad day one go fast

@hpimola i have had quads there boring and belong in the off road use not motocross use

they are just plane boring to ride on a motocross track

now to go hill climbing or mudding or even river swamping o man allot more fun on a quad

and they make grate utility vehicles on the farm to

but on the motocross track Boring (now this is my opinion ) and i buy no means say this as any fact other then for my likes and dislikes

my point exactly, you have done great on a bike, but i don't see a video of you on a quad. u should not make a blanket statement if u have no experience on a quad. it would be like me saying that it takes less skill to go fast on a bike without any supporting evidence.
