Hi could you help me out? My wrist just feels rather numb and weak, I do not have as much strength in my hands anymore. I play guitar quite often, and use a computer keyboard and mouse a lot. I'm 15. I couldn't open a juice bottle today, couldn't grip properly. Could I have carpal tunnel syndrome, and can it go away?

Hi howardtheman:

Unfortunately, it is imopossible to comment on the bumps as I can not examine you. The best suggestion is to adopt as healthy of habits as possible exercise-, diet-, stress-wise and see what happens. Otherwise it is wise to be examined by a health care professional.

Best,
doczac

Hi Howard:
CTS refers to only an alteraition of the mediam nerve. It does indicate the presence of overuse, imbalance or poor circulation, which may be connected to your bumps. Have them checked out by your health care provider.

My hands have been very sore for about a week now and my fingers throb sometimes. Do u think i mite have CTS?

Technically, CTS is suspected when wrist pain, numbness or weakness is noticed. Tap the front of the wrist (bottom of thumb pad). If tapping causes numbness, you may have CTS. Refer to a healthcare professional for examination.
Use Handmaster Plus or other exercise only if comfortable and only if cleared by your health care professional. When applicable, it will rebalance the muscles and maximize blood flow. Please tell musician friends to train now for prevention of these types of injury.

I went to a chiropractor/physiotherapist and he said that its not CTS and i have just over worked my hands and hurt my wrists typing in an awkward position. I really hope hes right. I must say that the pain has gone down a lot since my last comment but it stills feel weak and awkward when bending.
