Pontiac G8 GT - Cruising MPG

Another MPG test on my G8. This time I have cruise control set at 64mph. Jumps between 4 and 8cyl which you can also hear the difference on my solo axleback. Still playing around with the J-pipe to reduce the 4cyl drone.

A tune can usually help too if they go more aggressive with AFM. Mine in these videos was set pretty aggressively so it would run frequently. The key is to keep it active. The 64mph range seems to be the sweet spot. Easily can generate 25+mpg and still maintain good highway speed. I guess you could drive at 55mph if you want and nail 30mpg, but I can't idle drive the car. Gotta keep on movin'!

I too have a G8 GT and with a light foot or cruise control we get really respectful MPG with our big V8's!
