what does defragment mean and what does it do?

i dont use defragment disk or other programs because it defrags files you dont need but the files you dont need you still want i suggest to delte files REMEMBER even if you delete them you didnt get more space becuz you probably didnt delete them permantly =D this is wat i kno at 11 years old wich i am right now... well i think 1000kb=1mb 1024=1gb 1tb=1000gb can some1 tell me wat tb means i only kno the value of tb

I'm sure there's more values but we would never have that much memory in our computers :P
