Exactly what I said. You can have a graphical program running on one machine (the client) and and showing on another machine with (at least) one screen, keyboard and a mouse (the server).
You tell the program what work place they should use by enviroonment variable DISPLAY or argument -display machine:3.4 means use X server machine's work place 4, screen 5 :)

Window managers give policy about how to handle Windows.
X Windows System has no policy about how to handle windows, as you so good has demonstrated here. I realy like your tutorial about basic X Windows System. If you also demonstrated that it is distributed to, I would be perfekt!

Demonstrating the ability to run X Window programs over the network is beyond the scope of this tutorial. (As was the Multiple Monitor Setup which is why I created a separate video series for that.)
