  • A truly beautiful song. Amazing. It just strikes a chord with me. Thank you for posting this performance.

  • definitely top five RT favourite tracks for me

  • While I have not missed an RT show in Chicago since 74 I do think he has at least 2 challengers to Daycron's claim in the persons of Robert Hunter and Ian Anderson. O I know Ian is 40 years removed, at least, from being a fashionable choice, and many "in the know" would claim to the extent any of his output is worthwhile, that it ceased in 70 at Benefit, I would claim with my remaining letters that they are dead wrong. O to reduce it to sport with final scores, Duke Ellington as judge.

  • From the mid-60's right up until NOW, this guy has been a brilliant songwriter. No one else has even come close to sustaining such brilliance.

  • scottish tv love them closeups, eh?

  • If everyone is nominating favourite RT song can I put in a word for Cold Kisses? However I agree that there are so many that each week could be a different one. Another real favourite is God loves a drunk. And for an upbeat one how about I feel so good?

  • this song gives me goose bumps..

  • RTs Best Song? A pointless debate as there are very few that would not be considered - it depends on mood. As a straight Folk Song I'd nominate Woods of Darney because no body else has!

  • The emptiness of the heart, so perfectly captured.

  • Hm, now that I've read the lyric, I might have misinterpreted it because of a few misunderstood phrases. This is more in the "I just had my heart torn out of my chest" genre.
