Jared Rasco (Home studio): Didn't know the 3 minute solo so I just played the other 4 minutes of the song. Hughes & Kettner Switchblade head through Mesa 4x12 cab, customized Gibson Les Paul Vintage Mahogany w/EMG's.

  • Be sure to check out my new videos. The sound quality is much better.

  • perfect but y didint you play the ending in the song the way it was played

  • This song was kind of half their way and half my way. I tend to improv some times and I don't think I ever did learn the very end. But my most recent songs are pretty much identical to the originals.

  • hey.. looking around at Switchblade demos.. pretty cool. HAND OVER THE AMP AND CAB and nobody gets hurt... heh heh.. good playing. I always think about recording this song too.

Man I wish I had that gear at your age..

  • Look on eBay. Sometimes they have killer deals on this stuff. They did when I got that amp.

  • good to see younger players playing good old Rush songs, Rock til you drop

  • Maybe its just the recording? He has a beautiful les paul, with a Hughes and Kettner head and mesa boogie cabinet. It sounds great

  • really cool man...

  • It's all good, but buy a decent amp kid. That pawn shop junk just don't get it! ;) You hit the lotto or something?

  • dope skynyrd shirt

  • did you turn up the gain in you crunch channel completely ?? i´m surching a nice overdrive sound which is not to soft but also not to aggressive

  • Srry ment good

  • Nice job haha I want to learn the solo but don't know a food way to learn it?

  • good job, great great great great song, fabulous. and, even as an insane rush fan, i dont blame you for skippin the solo ;) i have to improv it when i play. keep em comin !

  • @dt17566 How much you talkin? I scour eBay, My Twin Tube I used to have floats by on eBay time to time, I used to have the Pod version 1, way back when, Now I sold off my good stuff. Is it just guitar and amp, no pedals? Also, the idea of playing along with the song isn't something that only students do, but some of the greats learned that way as well! (even slowing down their records to learn parts)

  • @theguitarloser103 Skynyrd don't suck, however. The amp musta cost bucks. I was playing thru a 15 watt Marshall MG, but it works! haha

  • Good sounding of that intro, Makes me wanna learn it, but the Epoch Gibson is crap, I did a demo video that's not uploaded yet, but the action and tightness of that Gibson LP for learners is just too hard to enjoy playing on
