Two engined UAV drops 30% of the right wing with 50% of the aileron and turns off one motor. Flight is stabilized through an adaptive control loop in the Paparazzi autopilot. http://paparazzi.enac.fr

  • this might be a stupid question, but how did you make your wing pop off.

  • @bxguan There was one middle servo pulling the wing-piece in during flight and two servos pushing it out for drop. You can see the servo arms around 2:36.

  • Is this special code within PPRZ or just use the normal PID control loops? If special can you point me to the code?

  • @danstah1

it uses the normal altitude/throttle loop and the special stabilization_adaptive.c for roll
