I remember that well ( I'm the guitarist) we were all sat on the grass outside the Forum when you told me you'd travelled down from London ( I think) ..we played to a lot of empty venues !! Played Southend once supporting the stereophonics with 1 person in the audience !!

no we didn't release an album , 3 singles then dropped by the major label machine !! we had it in the can but they couldn't see a hit !!

I saw Rude Club twice, once playing to some very confused Design For Life era Manics fans at the Kentish Town Forum, and another time at a very empty Tunbridge Wells Forum where i think the guitarist very kindly got my friends and i free entry. These songs still sounds great, the riff on Men In Suits is a BEAST! Such a shame an album never came out.

Remember seeing them play the Alleycat in Reading in 1997. Only a handful of people stuck around to watch them. Shame, a great band that deserved much better!

Thank you GC, I was so happy to find this. I will check out your info about JPs latest music. My favourite Rude Club track is 'LOCUST', 2.43 minutes of audio bliss (at 0.50 > the notes, feeling, sound....its a commuting Ipod fav definitely been in my Top 10 for ages). GC-Would you be able to upload 'LOCUST' onto Youtube that would be superb ? Thanks again
