PCB trace repair technique using the dry film process is demonstrated by BEST professional rework and repair instructor staff. This process follows IPC 7721 guidelines to re-attach a trace after it has been lifted off the board after repair or rework.

  • where do I get the trace repair metal.

  • I use repair wire.

  • scratch channel to reveal copper, solder wire, done. (not as pretty though)

  • Wouldn't it just be easier to use a piece of 26 guage wire (or smaller depending on trace size) and just scrap the mask away and just bridge the two points that are messed up with a wire. I have done that and haven't had a problem.

  • Another useful video about soldering... so little r available on youtube :)
