I will never understand this thinking. But I do believe that black people in the limelight share responsibility in propagating these thoughts. They all wear straight weaves, and/or straighten their hair, bleach their skin and get nose jobs and wear coloured contacts, etc. They send a clear message that the lighter you are the better looking or the better you are. It's all crap - but look at how the young girls are buying it!
