I pretty much made this on a whim after I heard the news. I don't really oppose or support this (*rumored*) casting. But look, people, before you start dropping the f-bombs all over Zac Efron, consider the fact that all he really did to you was star in a movie you didn't like (which is probably HSM) or belong to a company you pretend to be too old to like (Disney). Does that make him a bad person or unfit for the role? Maybe, maybe not. Just try not to have so many explosions in your panties.

Frankly, I don't understand "haters." Isn't Zac a pretty enough bishie for you?? XD

@twilightfan20802 Hahaha. The Japanese earthquake set back their economy, but it doesn't mean they will stop making movies or continue on with normal life. and also, this is referring to an AMERICAN remake, so it will be made on US shores, not Japan.

People are really being unreasonable when it comes to the sheer POSSIBILITY of Zac Efron playing Light Yagami. I mean really, he made a few Disney movies, but everyone needs to start somewhere and he just happened to start where a majority of today's popular icons have...

I find it funny that YAGAMI spelled backwards is IM A GAY.

Anyway Zac is the best fit to play Light. He looks like him and he can actually act, not to mention he's a fan of the series and manga itself.

If this movie is gonna get made it better be good. It better have a great cast. But this movie isn't coming up anytime soon. So don't get your panties in a bunch yet.

My problem with this is that I don't think he will be able to pull off Light. I don't see him being crazy and a killer with an evil laugh. I just can't see it.
