It was 9th of October, 2010. I had been called by one of the most renowned personalities in rock music in '90s Assam and India, Dhruva Sharma, with his band "FRIENDS", for celebrating the 50th anniversary of The Beatles and John Lenon's 70th birthday. Its very sad that we lost Dhruva sir recently. He was one of them, who paved the way for our generation for making some living out of rock music in the North Eastern part of India, despite the fact that its a very hard thing to do. This is an attempted cover of the classic, Oh! Darling by The Beatles. It was one of the most memorable experiences of my life and it was an honour to have been backed up by the band members of FRIENDS. I wasn't too prepared with the lyrics so I might have missed some parts here and there. My apologies for those who love the very thing about this song. Its an average recording through a video camera. Its a tribute to the most legendary band in history, The Beatles... Hope you all enjoy it.
Thank you!

  • At 1:41 of this video, experience the vocalist's extraordinary oldtime rocker slide/glide notes which end at 1:44 -- 3 seconds of the greatest/most erotic rock-out you will ever hear!! Congratulations on a performance from the other world -- prophetic in quality -- art at its finest!!

  • wow that was awesome

  • wow I didn't expect it to be this good.

  • Girish reminds me of underrated vocalist Tim Bogert [Vanilla Fudge] of my genesis generation. Girish is every bit as good if not better than the originators of today's sound.
