come on dude, you could use the same logic for any "bad" matchup in the game. "given these circumstances, this isn't a bad matchup" just doesnt work. i mean blanka has a valid counter to all of rufus's jumpins and startups in vertical roll. and since a blankaplayers only goal in a match against rufus should be not to get cornered without ´bars, it shouldn't be all that hard.

this is high lvl play in japan. these people have 1 frame link executions down like scrubs do shoryukens. im sure when you have 2 players with the same amount of skill, it's still a hard match for either. "taking a half step forward" isnt an issue for these ppl, thus makes my statement still correct. This isnt an easy match for blanka in ANY way.

the timing for the down fierce punish is extremely strict, the range isnt quite long enough so you need to take like half a step forward first. You need to have your execution really on point and forget about it if theres even slight lag.

you're crazy if you think this is a bad match for rufus. get blanka in the corner once and its game over unless he has a meter to ex roll. not to mention he can punish every single blanka ball with a C. fierce...

haha one of the worst matchups in the game and Ajipon still takes it. this really is a 8-2 matchup for blanka

first time i see aoki fight but boy, he kept getting punished by Rufus' cr FP and relied (himself) of cf FP too much
