NEWS10 Israel's identity has focused on being current, relevant and groundbreaking. In that tradition, we introduced a contemporary, interactive look designed to reflect the various media platforms which people use to consume content today. The viewer enjoys a rich content level, expected in this multi-platform web age.

As part of a complete network re-branding, Flying Machine designed a new logo along with a complete on-air graphics kit. Working in New York and conferencing with the clients in Israel, the design process was completed and approved. Logo animations were completed in New York in association with our partner Bionic. Creative Director Micha Riss then worked in Israel with the networks design and production teams to complete the construction of the set, develop the production flow and complete the implementation of the design. Besides applying the creative for each of the various network programs, we worked with the technical team to realize the graphic system as envisioned by the initial creative. Style guides will allow staff to continue advancing the NEWS10 brand internally.

Similar to the operating systems of the latest smart-phones, tablets, laptops, gaming consoles and GPS devices, the NEWS10 set and graphics are an integrated, endless, multipurpose grid. It is a "wall" of information, which can adapt to any combination of visuals, text and related icons. The set breaks down to layers. Interactive touch screens, screen walls and foreground graphics illustrate the reporter's story. The entire program is managed by a single system controlling cameras, screens, video sources and graphics devices through the networks production and editorial teams. Content moves freely throughout the set, updating automatically as the program progresses. Even reporters can walk in and out of the set as they deliver their stories. It is flexible, allowing the set to tell one story in expanded form or show a rundown of several headline stories, all managed by the editorial team.

The set and graphics have their own distinct NEWS10 brand, which could migrate to apps for most current devices.

The flow of the system is familiar to the consumer using any current media device. And, like most current system apps, it is designed for seamless updating of specific sections within the framework of the base system. The set and look can be applied across NEWS10's various programs.
