I was wondering what rendering settings you use in After Effects and how do you get such rich colors? Do you just tinker around with the color correction in AE, an answer will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I do not render differently in after effects!

I stick with a high quality AVI or MOV file when I export from AE. Then I bring the video into Sony Vegas and use SATURATION ADJUST and CONTRAST to get the look you are referring to.

When I export the final video I use .MOV but in one of two formats.

The first is: Photo-JPEG, it is super high quality but large in file size.

The second: MPEG-4 (this video [The Beach] is MPEG-4) less quality but very small file size!
