*please read description*

Emil solo
Mania Mode
Level 55
No Items
No Deaths (except for the party members xD)

First of all, I must thank asndarknessdragon for helping me. We went through many PM's until I could get to this. Thanks ^^
Now let's go to the description. This was a request, I was not accepting them but, to do a Emil Solo Mania Mode. This is the boss of the Temple of Lightning (wow...I think everyone knows that XD)
So now, let's go to the boss shall we? It has 500k + and it regains 504 HP IN Mania Mode. For those that still doubt it, watch the video, I made it clear enough that I selected Mania Mode. The bats regain something like 200 HP, not a real problem if you stagger them.
Kill the bats first, because you don't lose that much HP (unless you get in a bat-combo, or if you can't hold the Wii mote XD) You should save TP for the boss, since the bats are your only choice of regaining TP. One arte or another in the middle, and you are done with them. Don't get stuck in a circle with them, they spam attacks that can easily combo and stagger. If you keep them in a air-combo, they can die easily. The main boss will take you some HP, so try to stay with at least half of the HP bar for the boss itself. Well, there are several ways of taking them down :

-You can use Fiend Fusion and Havoc Strike. Using Fiend Fusion ups your speed (If you don't have Solomus skill equipped, otherwise it will up you defense) and you need speed for what? When you use Havoc Strike, you stagger the enemies for like 1 second, and you need to run away after that, or otherwise expect "In the middle of a circle with bats spamming and death after" situation. So I would only use this combo if you know how to run away, since backstepping isn't much of a help here. This is the cheapest method here, probably, but also the most dangerous.

-You can use Pheonix Rush, and you may choose if you want to use Ventus skill or not. If you decide on using Pheonix Rush, make sure you hit at least 3 bats, so that you can kill them fast, or simply attack them with normal attacks. Pheonix Rush uses 9 TP and it's one of the best artes to use here. I would use Demon Fang next, with Tenebrae skill equiped, since it has longer range (if you're close) since if you have a certain skill (Ability Plus) it will use immediately after you hit the ground. And if you don't have Tenebrae skill equiped, Demon Fang will simply pass down the enemy = useless. Unless you get close to the enemy...But I wouldn't recomend it, since they can make the circle strategy.

-You can use Raining Fangs, and it's your choice if you want the "Aqua" skill equipped or not (but you won't have it unless you're on your 2nd playthrough with the "retain skills" from the grade shop). This is one of the best options you have, and it's the one I use in this video, but I also use the air combo + Raining Fangs strategy.

The boss artes are always the same, punching and doing some dangerous artes. Those dangerous artes are Indignation and Thunder Blade. If you get stuck in Thunder Blade, you can really die xD. Unless you have a great timing to not get staggered by Thunder Blade, or you have a great defense.
Indignation is also dangerous, but you can avoid it easily. If you think that because you're in a air-combo with the bats, Indignation won't hit you, then you're wrong. It will hit if you are in its range. To avoid SOME of the attacks of the boss, try to free run in his direction you should pass down him. I'm not sure if this works with all his "punching-artes", but it heps if you have a great timing in those 1 Hit punches. To avoid the others, abuse free-run here. You have a lot of space. When he's defending, try to keep hitting him, you may Guard-Break him and then use Raining Fangs or any other arte, better if the arte combos, because you can use the Unison Attack next.

The boss starts getting mad when he's almost dead, and he can use Last Laugh that casts Indignation close to him immediately, and another one, Diabolic Edict, that casts Thunder Blade close to him and immediately too.
You can use a lot of strategys here, it's up to you to use them or find them. I only listed some, I'm sure there are tons of others.

The last thing is why I didn't kill the members of my party for the battle? Simple, I didn't had the time and even if I did, the only save point close was a Full HP and TP one. :x
Enjoy please ~ :)

  • Definitely looks smooth now :D. As for the quality, it's good as far as standard definition goes. Vegas does blur the video for some reason, so you can't really do much unless you add a Sharpen filter to it (about 0.750) as well as change the aspect ratio of the video to widescreen. Also for the background music, you can turn off the music in the game and then add the music over by editing it. Just go to options, turn BGM to 0, and then you can add it in Vegas. All in all, good work :D.
