  • You should read the constitution more carefully. The U.S. Congress has the power to levy taxes. This is the price for living in a free country.

  • This Senator from Oregon fails to understand the U.S. Constitution. It is Unconstitutional for the government to tax our Income, let alone the term flat tax, u tax, air tax, whatever tax. Senator would you read the U.S. Constitution. Thank you

  • and what taxes does Congress has the power to levy - Read it to me - Read me The Constitution of what taxes the Congress has a right to levy. Explain to me why there was even a Revolution - DUH. I'll give ya hint- Look at Section 8 and show me income and tell me what life was like in the late 1700's.."price to pay for living in a free country" You're a Socialist

  • @Freeskies you are not An American are you. Please go somewhere where there is no taxes. because taxes is the price we pay for our civilization and if you do not want to play our way go somewhere else.

  • @StillHaveADream exactly, How many people do you trust with money? Im guessing out of everyone you know very few would you trust to do the right thing and make sure money goes unselfishly to those who truly need it. Just because a person is not a good business man does that mean that should have to live in undignified homes and having to work so much that they cannot even be constant parents to their children as they work and live pay check to pay check. good comment jc

  • @jcpillars but the tax must go to help the greater good of the people. do we see that?

  • I'm a Tax Preparer, and have been for ten years. I, and the court system, have heard time and time again, about the constitutionality or unconstitutionality of taxes. Every single time, every time, that the courts are brought a case that questions the constitutionality of Federal taxes, the courts rule that they are constitutional. 100% of the time throughout the history of out tax system.

  • @piggyman8

That's already what is happening. People who are paying into the current system are subsidizing people who are collecting Social Security benefits.
