Be careful when you buy low end Martins.
I just bought one, and I was told it needed a "neck reset".
The thing is brand new? I have to contact Martin now
and see if they can replace it for me.

@AnOddMusician Yeah, I was really concerned about this, too. But I have had mine for over three years now, and haven't had any issues. The key is getting the right strings to give the thing some tone. Even nylon work well...as long as you don't need to project sound over any distance. I am very happy with my backpacker, and I'm sure you will be, too. Cheers!

wait... no truss rod? but what if the neck gets warped......

the thing in the beginning is perfect camping music. XD

@eatthemoon13 I wonder the same thing. I'm tempted to go for the steel--I like the resonator quality it has. Only way to know is to play both of them, but even big stores don't seem to stock them.

Sweet pickin!

Great Pickin. Have u played both models the nylon VS the steal string. I wonder which ones is louder/sounds better? I want to buy one. thanks

@baselmes just a little thing I mess around with... I kinda used part of it as the lead in my song Restless Heart too but I like it best all by its self.
