  • it's an activity meant for children to learn how to pour liquids.... they start off with a nonliquid item so that they can learn the process of pouring ... obviously this process is only for kids who don't know how to pour yet

  • I find it best to use clear plastic or glass so the children can see the colored water.

  • Noooo the plastic jugs????? Shame....trust the child they can manage breakable items and if they do happen to break them they canclean the mess up as an activity as well.

Also your presentations are really haphazard. Anyone watching this please be more exact in your movements when presenting to a child

  • This is a horrible presentation.

  • Thankyou for sharing. I also enjoy the comments and variations. This gives me great ideas for my classroom.

  • So does she have returning children in her classrooms? Why can't they pour water at the beginning of the year? Why wait until January? Surely they learned how to pour water the year before! And who pours water from a cup? That's what a pitcher is for!

  • why not just call it pouring???? Clear glass is a good idea with coloured water if you change the colour maybe but also change the containers often so it looks new and interesting when the children see it.

  • nice simple ideas for grown ups to do at home. what is obvious to teacher is not to others.

  • They can still see the water. Clear glass is fine but it is also good to change it up. This teacher could have been studying Africa. Why not use elephant cups? :)
