Der in einem automatisierten Ölofen auf 1050°C erwärmte Stahlabschnitt von knapp 20kg Gewicht wird unter einem Luftfeder- Streckhammer mit 400kg Bärgewicht vorgestaucht und unter einem elektrohydraulischen Schabotten- Gesenkhammer mit 5500 kg Bärgewicht im Gesenk geschmiedet. Anschliessend wird das Teil mit einer 250 Tonnen Hydraulikpresse abgegratet und gelocht.

    It's sprung. I asked them in their other video and they gave me a link to some interesting photos of them laying it.

    I like the guy picking the pellet up. I bet he could punch through a brick wall without noticing. :P

  • Nice to see transfers from machine to machine. Is the drop hammer on a spring foundation or is it an optical illusion that the whole frame appears to bounce after each strike? Great video.
