Round two of illuminating my Pro-145. I initially got the idea on YouTube by another keyboardist (latchmo on YouTube, thank you) who had taken off the back and shined a light through the cabinet so you could see everything working inside. I thought it was cool and needed to do something about mine.
I decided it would really special to mount permenant lighting inside the cabinet. First I did the rotor section with red party lights. The clearance for the rotating horn was a bit hairy but it worked. I have a switch on the back to turn the lights off for a day gig.
Then after gigging like this a few times, people said I should light up the bottom half as well and, since I had red on top, I should use blue down below. Whatever.
The pressure was on so I decided to mount two sockets on the back hatch that, when in place, light up the drum going around in the bottom section.
I went with two twisty florescent blue lamps on the bottom. I tried to do the same with red on top but had to stay with incandescent because I was getting some 60 cycle hum on the amp with the twisty bulbs.
So, here it is....my punked out Pro-145 completely with red and blue lights.....
Very cool!
