  • No, actually it wasn't live. It was on CBS, but it was aired taped-delay on Sunday afternoon.

  • Wasn't it the first and possibily only Over the Air telecast of a Indycar race in primetime?

  • and New Hampshire in 98

  • EJ Viso did NOT buy his ride.

  • CBS also did the Dover race in 1998.

  • Scott was hurt at Indianapolis in 1997--he hit the wall twice and suffered a concussion. For the remainder of the year, Billy Boat and Davey Hamilton were Foyt's drivers. The Charlotte 500K was on CBS--the only IRL race ever broadcast on CBS--and CBS hired Joy and Sharp to cover that race.

  • I Knew It Was Mike Joy from the Begining, but what I said that it sounded like Marty Reid, but how did Scott cover races, DNQ or Something.

  • No its Mike Joy and sounds like Scott Sharp.

  • It looks like a CBS graphic was in that video too. I'll be curious who will be in the booth on VS next year.

  • Is That Marty Reid too?
