Inspired by the category "Things That Are Not Steampunk" on Regretsy (http://www.regretsy.com), and (of course) those peerless purveyors of Euterpean epopee, Professor Elemental and Mr B, the Gentleman Rhymer.

The tintypes and photographs used throughout the video are from the collection of Greene Connections (http://www.GreeneConnections.com), used with permission.

Lyrics are available by enabling the "English - Lyrics" track on the video closed captioning or interactive transcript controls.

Due to a number of requests, the MP3 (with higher quality audio) is now available at iTunes, Amazon MP3 and the Android Market.

  • @Elonyy glued*

  • I feel exactly the same way.

    I MAED STEEMPANK LOL

No, you glues a freakin' cog on a digital clock.

Seriously, most of the "Steampunk remakes" are of objects that a simple Google search, combined with a "Victorian ....." will reveal were in existence in the 'Steampunk era'.

    Stupid twats.

  • @valmontdracul

Fact: Sometimes it actually DOES include dark and goth styles.

  • What a fantastic accomplishment this video be!

And how in the world did you produce the barbershop quartet singing?

The harmonies (and chord inversions) are sublime and most accurate! Kudos.

  • @GuyLyddonable you can find a photo of a young Anton Checkov on the website called "My Daguerrotype Boyfriend."

  • BTW, I was at ConDor and saw someone selling steampunk jewelry, and one of the pins had a CICADA on it!

  • I like the german "We are not amused" thing on his newspaper :3

  • @GuyLyddonable true
