Paws for the Cause presents Mark Holland Waterloo 2011

March 18, 2011 - Mark Holland, Liberal MP, speaks in Waterloo ON about his private member's bill C-229, one that updates current legislation on animal cruelty, and calls for stiffer penalties and longer jail time for animal abusers. Mark travelled to Waterloo to participate in a walk and rally for animal welfare. Over 400 signatures were gathered in the area on a petition calling to pass this bill into law, and over 60 paw prints were gathered on a "pawtition" -- a symbolic gesture around the event, which was held to give a voice to the voiceless.
