Autonomy referendum pits rich oligarchs in Santa Cruz against poor indigenous majority in highlands

The Real News Network analyst Pepe Escobar says the autonomy referendum in the rich lowland province of Santa Cruz on Sunday is unconstitutional. Escobar says "it's a dagger in the heart of South American integration. It is a classic battle between a rich white minority and a poor indigenous majority, and its not surprising which side the US government is on."

What Evo is doing is crap. If you worked for something who is the Government to take it from you your family members after you die. Santa Cruz used to be poor as hell and the Central Gov't concentrated itself in the West with the mining industry, and now these COLLAS want to take land from ppl that worked for their money.

How can this guy talk all this crap?.. They had Venezuelan army troops in La Paz. Is that legal???. White people in Bolivia is not rich, as he says. Santa Cruz is heading towards progress, and that is not because of racism, is because their people like to improve. Why not to create new industry and use the resources that the western regions have?.

Evo could be a good leader, but he let Chavez stick his big nasty nose in our politics.

All i know that recently the government seized control of the following firms AIG, FANNIE and FREDDY MAC, it's now nationalized. NATIONALIZED. They are no longer independent firms.
