Robert

Robert simply wishes for friends. To be around people. You can, of course, watch people pass him by again and again in the video. Even on a day as windy as this, the streets of Chicago are full of people. But, like most, they just keep walking, acting as if Robert were invisible.

He tried to find employment with the White Sox or Cubs. But, he'll take any job: a handyman, cutting grass--he says, "anything that will help people."

He sleeps in an alley behind Dunkin Donuts. His biggest worry? All the mice that share his sleeping space. Yet he still prefers his alley to sleeping on the floor of an overcrowding shelter.

Robert's smile is powerful. But if that can't hook you, wait until you hear what his last wish is.

I hate how people assume all this shit about homeless people... Some of them are people who have a lot of potential. It's just all the stuff that happens to them won't piece itself together, no matter how hard they try to make it. Hopefully he'll have a good future.

Maybe youare lucky in the moment but if you live for example in a other state on the other side of the US for a good job and then loose it and you have no savings you'll get homeless very fast. And most of them have no family so just show them who really try it (beeing clean ,no drugs and alcohol friendly) some respect and just think about the numbers I told you and everydayits getting more not less.

I wish all the best for this man. Many people in the US would wish for a new Xbox or i-phone but all he wants is a pair of teeth and for people to acknowledge him as a human being! If I were the manager for the White Sox, i would definitely hire him. God bless you, Robert.

I would hire him, and im 16! I would make my family hire (or pay him myself) him to work around the house. Or, just give him some money, so he can buy something! And, of course, give him a nice cup of tea! He just needs a job...
