Veterans Day 2008 in Pittsford, NY Honors Cpl. Kevin Mowl

On Veterans Day November 11, 2008, Pittsford, New York native Army Cpl. Kevin Scott Mowl was honored. His name was included on the Pittsford Veterans Monument in the Port of Pittsford Park overlooking the historic Erie Canal. Cpl. Mowl died February 26, 2008, from injuries suffered while on active duty serving in the US military in the Iraq War. Rayson-Miller American Legion Post Commander Jennie Miller led the ceremony at the monument. The Post welcomed Cpl. Mowls father, Dr. Harold Mowl, Jr., Rochester School for the Deaf superintendent as special guest speaker. Portions of this video are presented in American Sign Language.
